Rainforest Specialist

Hello, I’m Mariella Corvetto

I’ve been in the tourism industry since 2007. My journey began with Mondoverde, where I spent five years representing Rainforest Expeditions and working with direct clients—a path I first explored alongside my brother. In 2012, I joined Rainforest Expeditions directly, and since then, it has been an incredible adventure.

I genuinely enjoy working with all kinds of travelers

Each trip I organize feels like embarking on a new journey alongside them. However, I have a particular affinity for nature lovers—their curiosity and passion resonate deeply with my own love for the rainforest. My favorite destination without a doubt is Tambopata.

I’ve had the chance to explore almost all of Peru

when it comes to comfortable and memorable travel, I always recommend Tambopata, Cusco, Tumbes, and the Callejón de Huaylas in Áncash. These are places where you can enjoy nature at your own pace, with the perfect balance of authenticity and comfort.

The world taught me that true comfort lies in the experience

Traveling through France, Italy, Belgium, and Greece taught me that true wellbeing lies in the details—a beautiful view, a slower rhythm, an experience that feels real. Greece, in particular, showed me that you don’t need much effort to live something truly special.

In the Amazon, I always recommend Tambopata Research Center. It’s located in a lowland forest that’s easy to explore. Sometimes, instead of heading out on a hike, I choose to stay back, relax in a hammock with a book and a Campari. Because traveling can also mean slowing down and letting the jungle do the rest.

The Amazon has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My father instilled in me a deep love for the forest, and Tambopata holds a special place in my heart. I admire how it all began, rooted in adventure and guided by scientists who first revealed its wonders.

What I value most about designing unique expeditions

is the opportunity to connect with people from all over the world. I’m passionate about communication, and being able to speak several languages allows me to share the magic of Tambopata with a wide variety of travelers. One of the most exciting aspects of my work? Encountering monkeys in the rainforest always brings me the same thrill I felt the very first time—it never gets old.

When I’m not working, I enjoy cinema, dancing, walking, watching sunsets, and traveling. Whether I’m exploring the world or my home country, Peru, I always find opportunities to introduce people to Tambopata and its unforgettable experiences.

Languages: English, French, Italian.
